Eve, Adam’s Perfect Woman – Graphic Print

COMMENTARY

Perhaps in this one lovely woman Eve was contained all the features, beauty and grace to be handed down to her daughters throughout the centuries to follow her.  Imagine Adam’s surprise and awe when he first looked upon Eve.  There had never been a woman created anywhere in the universe.  Adam must have been in near shock as he looked upon this creature fair.  It did not take him long to embrace Eve’s companionship.  She was created in God’s image the same as her husband Adam.  God built into Eve everything that Adam would ever need to make her his most perfect wife.  If only in this world today we would accept our mates as gifts from God.  If only we would launch out into relationships with such love and devotion that divorce and bitterness and betrayals would not exist.  Only relationships lost in the love of the Lord Jesus Christ can hope for such a noble attainment.  Indeed Adam recognized Eve as his perfect gift from God,

O Eve, sweet gift of heaven fair,

We two become as one.

For God himself hath joined our hearts,

One holy life begun.
