OBTAINING THE FULL ASSURANCE OF GOD

ssured Believers, of what are you assured? One of the rewards of serving the Lord, and of having a true "born again" experience is that there will come a day when you will have a full assurance that you have "passed from death unto life." (John 5:24) That is, you will have an inward knowing and sense of great peace and joy in the fact that you are safely resting in the calm assurance that if you were to die at any moment, then you would enter heaven where you will live forever in the presence of your Father. How valuable is that to you? You say, "I wish I had that assurance and true peace right now! I am continually oppressed by thoughts of doubting and fear for the safety of my soul!" Beloved, again you have fallen into one of the most common traps set by the Evil One--- he attacks you with feelings of doubt, fearful thoughts, and insecurity in the great and precious promises from your Father in Heaven! Again, let me remind you that you have promises from your Father, that if you "confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9 NKJV) The real trouble is simply this, "Will you allow the lies and doubts of Satan to outweigh the promises of your Father?" Ask the question: "who is the liar here, the Devil or your Father?" Now answer that aloud right now! Now, affirm your faith (repeat it several times if you need to do so) "Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus, I believe your promises and consider them to be superior to the lies of the Evil One. In the name of Jesus, I am saved! I have passed “from death unto life,” (I John 3:14) and when I die, I will certainly enter into heaven because of your truth to me!" Well, Child of God, it is just that simple! If you need to battle hard for the attainment of this assurance, remember this, if you battle for something and win that trophy from the Lord, then the satisfaction of winning this battle and gaining this assurance from your Father in Heaven will cause this assurance and true joyful peace to set themselves deeply into your spirit and mind. This is a battle well-won by you! Beloved rejoice that your name is written in heaven!

Father, I repent for insulting you! I certainly believe your promises over the slandering of the Devil. I command doubt, fear and insecurity to go! I command them to leave my life, in Jesus' name, amen!
