GOD’S FORGIVENESS A SERIOUS MATTER

eloved, when your Father in Heaven gives true forgiveness to you for all your past sins through the power and grace of the Lord Jesus, what does that mean? Does it mean that two days later He plays games with you about the fullness and completeness of that forgiveness? Does it mean that when you choose to sin after the New Birth in Jesus you are no longer a redeemed Child of the Lord and heir to the Kingdom of God? This is not so! What a tragic situation would exist in the lives of untold millions of Christians if they had only a fair-weather God. Beloved, your Father does much more than simply to forgive you at your salvation experience. He powerfully pulls you into the family of God, and then in the sacred blood of the Lord Jesus, He writes your name into the Lamb's Book of Life. He then goes all over heaven bragging about you and the fact that Satan, that sick, old evil spirit now has no further claim over your life! Your Father sets the angels to rejoicing over the fact that you have "passed from death to life"(John 5:24) because of the eternal change that has taken place in your heart! Your Father finds himself with a big smile on His face. He knows that you are now His and He makes the biggest plans of how you will truly spend your eternity with Him. He knows that there is no devil big enough or powerful enough anywhere on the earth, below the earth or in the atmosphere to destroy the marvelous work of God in your heart! What do you think about that! Beloved you need to rise up from where you are and call the Devil a liar and repent for "cast(ing) away your confidence in the Lord." (Hebrews 10:35) He wishes to give you the full assurance of your salvation! And your Father desires to set your feet upon a rock of love and confidence! Will you let Him do so? O.K. Father, I have had enough! I have been angry at the Evil One for the fact that he is doing a good job of the evil that he promotes. I take personal responsibility for swallowing his lies against me and my loved ones. I am saved! When you saved me through the blood of the Lord Jesus it was then and is now powerful enough and deep enough to carry me from that moment to the last day of my life in the forgiving love and care of my Heavenly Father. I will not accept or believe any more doubts or fears about my salvation. I am saved! Not by my power but by the unbreakable word of the Living God through Jesus Christ my Lord, amen!
